Message from Head of School

Dear Parents,

Thank you for considering Austin Classical School for your family!  At Austin Classical School, our mission is to serve with parents to provide an excellent education aimed at forming gracious, loving, humble, wise, and intelligent young men and women equipped to pursue their respective callings as servants of Christ and His Kingdom. ACS accomplishes this mission through:

  • Continual prayer and humble submission to the will of God for our school.
  • A Christ-centered, academic community that fosters justice, humility, curiosity, grace and a deep love of learning based on the authority of Scripture.
  • A classical approach that emphasizes how to learn rather than how to attain a given level of competency in individual subjects.
  • Communicating high academic expectations through excellent classroom instruction and rigorous curriculum.
  • A blended schedule which allows for ACS to work alongside families to educate children both at school and in their home environment.  This approach promotes family time, educational efficiency, and accountability.

Of course, there is much more that constitutes who and what Austin Classical is, so if you’d like more information or have any questions about ACS, please contact us.

Finally, I’d like to highlight the passage of Scripture that guides the leadership team of ACS as we make decisions that shape both the present and future of our school.

“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11 (ESV)

Indeed, that is our prayer…that as we educate and disciple our students, love and wisdom will abound in righteous fruit bringing glory to God alone.

Thank you again for considering Austin Classical School for your family. We earnestly pray for wisdom and deepened faith as you seek to disciple your children and bring them up in the ways of the Kingdom. There is no greater adventure!

Blessings,
Mrs. Dusty Kinslow, M.Ed.
